From a very early age, I've been in love with horses. I remember my first book from the library was Little Black. My mother read it over and over again to me until I could recite it word for word. My first pony was of course named King for the book King of the Wind. But it was the Black Stallion Series that led me toward Arabian Horses. My own sweet little mare was half Arabian, half Hackney and she lived for 28 marvelous years. Now tripping over that 50 year mark, I'm reading those same books to my grandchildren. Walter Farley has been a hero to me. If I could ever write a horse story half as well as he could - I'd die a happy woman. Bless your book program. I think I still have an old Arabian Horse magazine with your father's picture riding. I'll have to hunt it down. Thank you again.
